Harley Quinn
(2000)
Vol. 1
While Harley Quinn had appeared in comics before - most notably in 1994's Mad Love graphic novel - she finally got her own regular title 8 years after her debut in TV's Batman: The Animated Series.
The double-sized first issue dealt with Harley's twisted relationship with the Joker, as she disguised herself as Poison Ivy to help break him out of Arkham Asylum. After nursing the Joker back to health, Harley tried to impress him by sabotaging a fairground based on heroes and villains only to be nearly killed by the Joker in the process. By the end of the story, Harley had stopped the Joker's plans and was beginning to question her love for the Clown Prince of Crime.
Harley Quinn ran for 38 issues, from 2000 to 2004.
The series has been collected in trade paperback:

Vol. 2 (New 52)
A solo ongoing for Harley Quinn in The New 52.
The series launched with a less-than-ordinary #0 issue (November 2013), where Harley, wanting her own series again, repeatedly broke the Fourth Wall, discussing what she'd like out of her book with the writers, Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti. Each page was drawn by a different all-star artist such as Adam Hughes, Jim Lee, Darwyn Cooke, etc. and Harley would evaluate each, stating what she liked or didn't like about their style, and ultimately "picked" Chad Hardin to be the (first) artist on her ongoing series.
